NEW PROCESS – R2AC Artist Fellowship (Award amount $6,000)
Artists are nominated by self or others. Nominated artists must reside in Beltrami, Clearwater, Hubbard, Lake of the Woods, or Mahnomen counties. Awards are made by the R2AC Board.

Artist Support Grant (Max. request $2,000)
Used to be the Individual Artist Grant, but we made it not about supporting your arts project but supporting YOU as an Artist! Applicants must reside in Beltrami, Clearwater, Hubbard, Lake of the Woods, or Mahnomen counties.

Artists Engage Communities Grant (Max request $6,000)
Engage your community with arts performances, art workshops, participatory arts events or whatever great arts ideas you have to involve the public! Applicants must reside in Beltrami, Clearwater, Hubbard, Lake of the Woods, or Mahnomen counties and funded arts activities must occur within the state of Minnesota.

In June 2025 income-generating activity for artists, creators, and culture bearers has been cut off or greatly altered due to a natural disaster, and many people have incurred emergency costs. Our Good Relative Relief Grant, made possible with funding from private donors, is meant to offer some support for creators in our community.

Springboard for the Arts has provided funding to a few selected regional arts councils to disperse to those in their region with need for emergency relief to artists, performers, writers, creators, and culture bearers from natural disaster or major illness and to provide help for those that desperately in need of food, housing, healthcare or legal consultation.
